Lakes, waterfalls, tulips, bush walks…

No wonder Araluen Botanic Park is one of Perth’s best places and a popular wedding venue with its stunning views, luscious gardens and many, MANY plant species.

Visitors can start their day walking past the flowing streams along one of the many nature trails on the 59-hectare park. The flowers you see will depend on what time of year you go, with August and September the best time to see the colourful tulips in bloom.

For lunch you can use one of the free BBQs for a warm picnic or, if cooking isn’t your thing, you can stop by the Chalet Healy Tea Rooms. Afterwards you can visit the Roundhouse Gift Shop to pick up a souvenir and view the stunning photographs that are on display. Finish the day with a ride on the Train in Springtime to see more of the exotic plant species.

Keep an eye out for different events that are held throughout the year, including the annual Chilli and Avocado Festival, Blues in the Hills music nights, and a range of school holiday activities.
